Our Curriculum
"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." Nelson Mandela
The first five years of life is a time of extraordinary development, growth, and learning. During, preschool years, children beginning to run, speak in short sentences, and explore independent from their parents and caregivers, as they explore the world around them. All young children learn in the context of loving, responsive, and stimulating relationships as they explore the world around them and discover new things about their environment, relationships, and themselves.
The quality of their early life experiences does influence their learning and development. Play during these critical years is essential to their development and growth. Each child learns and experiences their worlds differently; such differences can have a lasting impact on their success later in school. The Chloe Day School and Family Wellness Center work to create stimulating learning environments and implement intentional teaching strategies that ensure all children are ready to succeed in school.
We are a preschool that offers public preschool services for children ages two to five years old. Our toddler program provides play-based instruction to target all developmental areas with a focus on communication, interactions with peers and adults, as well as fostering growing independent skills. A student’s family in our toddler program must meet income eligibility guidelines for enrolling, created by New York City Department of Education. Preschoolers, age three, and four students will participate in our high-quality Pre-K for All programs that will be funded by the New York City Department of Education. Our program will provide instruction that is aligned with a progressive education model and the New York City Department of Education Early Childhood Framework for Quality (EFQ,).
